Testimonials

She was the solo presenter for "Health & Wellness Matters" during the month of April. As part of the weekly programming under the title of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, these programs supported and funded by the Office of Social Equity and Title IX, were set up to help in aiding students of color in understanding the importance of self care. She was understanding of the needs of our students during what could and would be a critical time of their lives as they prepared themselves for finals. I chose Dr. Moreland, having been an Alumna of this institution. She was very much aware of what was needed for our students during this period of their academic studies and represented well. In closing, I would also invite her again, if given the opportunity.

Client Review

I worked with Dr. Moreland when she was featured as one of the guest panelists during the last event I produced for Hosanna House, "Take a Seat at Our Red Table." I asked Dr. Moreland to speak because she is well respected in the community, relatable and has accumulated many professional accomplishments. She is a trailblazer and a torch bearer. I believed she could add tremendous value to the panel discussion and inspire the audience goers. And she did just that! Dr. Moreland helped to set a tone of authenticity layered with common sense and sprinkled with the knowledge of a highly educated professional that uses her life experiences to motivate others to be the truest versions of themselves.

Landforce is connected to "investing in people." Because of this, we look into a Mental Health professional who is involved in the community and can relate and connect to the population we service. Dr. Moreland works in the inner community and is able to connect with the inner community population. Working with Dr. Moreland for the past two years has provided our crew members with Mental Health and the techniques they need to be equipped with to handle life situations. As we have experienced, mental health and trauma are something that often goes unaddressed in our communities. There is a stigma with addressing past traumas and Dr. Moreland is able to present in a way that is relatable, comfortable and empowering. Dr. Moreland presents in a way that makes everyone feel seen, heard and "normal", whatever that even is anymore. People bring their baggage, their hurts and the icky things that are unaddressed and Dr. Moreland makes you feel like you are not alone. This is what makes me the happiest about working with her, is that she is inclusive and empowering. Dr. Moreland has a relatability that reflects her authenticity. When someone can't relate to you, it oftentimes disempowers you and causes you to shut down and not address the issues and concerns that you carry, however, relatability helps you feel comfortable to address the unaddressed. Many of our crew members have unaddressed trauma. Past incarceration, addiction, homelessness, family brokenness, racism and the list continues. Dr. Moreland is completely equipped to address these traumas in detail.
